Vasari Corridor Friday evenings 2026

On Friday nights the corridor opens on its own, without the gallery. You cross the river above the Ponte Vecchio in the dark and step out into Piazza Pitti.

The Ponte Vecchio lit up at dusk, its covered upper storey glowing above the shops and reflected in the Arno under a deep blue sky
Friday nights until 20 November 2026: the corridor opens from 7 pm to 11 pm.

From July to November 2026 the Uffizi opens the Vasari Corridor on Friday evenings, on a special corridor-only ticket. It is the cheapest way to walk it and the only way to do so without buying the Uffizi too.

Here are the remaining dates, the start times, the price, where to meet and where you come out, the rules that differ from a daytime visit, and what we know about 2027.

The quick answer

Every Friday from 3 July to 20 November 2026, 7 pm to 11 pm, with groups starting from 7.00 to 9.50 pm. As of 6 October 2026, seven Fridays remain: 9, 16, 23 and 30 October, and 6, 13 and 20 November. The ticket is €24 booked ahead or €20 on the day, corridor only, about 35 minutes. Meet at the entrance in Piazzale degli Uffizi next to the Loggia dei Lanzi; you come out in Piazza Pitti. Nothing has been announced for 2027.

When are the Vasari Corridor Friday evening openings?

Every Friday from 3 July to 20 November 2026, from 7 pm to 11 pm. Seven dates remain as of 6 October 2026.

What are the start times?

Groups set off at 7.00, 7.20, 7.40, 8.00, 8.20, 8.40, 9.00, 9.20 and 9.50 pm.

Pick the time when you book; it is fixed, and groups leave without latecomers. Arrive at least 10 minutes before. The walk takes about 35 minutes, a little quicker than the 45 minutes of a daytime visit, so even the 9.50 pm group is out well before the corridor closes at 11 pm.

The same windows, the same river: only the hour is different.

How much is the Friday evening ticket?

€24 booked before the day, €20 on the day, €2 reduced and free for eligible visitors.

The ticket is called Vasari Corridor - Special Openings and is sold on the museum's own channels, five per purchase at most. It is corridor only: you pass through some Uffizi rooms but may not visit the gallery. That makes it €23 cheaper than the €47 daytime ticket, which includes the Uffizi; the full price list is in Vasari Corridor tickets.

Want the Uffizi too? A reserved daytime Uffizi and corridor ticket, cancellable free up to 24 hours before.

Where do you meet, and where do you come out?

You meet at the entrance in Piazzale degli Uffizi next to the Loggia dei Lanzi, and you leave the Boboli Gardens straight into Piazza Pitti through the Rondò di Bacco gate.

Piazzale degli Uffizi is the long courtyard between the two wings of the gallery, opening onto Piazza della Signoria by the Loggia dei Lanzi. At the other end you are in Oltrarno, on the far side of the river. If you have left nothing anywhere, there is nothing to go back for, and that is the way to plan it.

The corridor itself ends in the Boboli Gardens by the Buontalenti Grotto; on Fridays you leave through the Rondò di Bacco gate.

What rules apply on Friday evenings?

No cloakroom, so come without bags; no backpacks, suitcases or large umbrellas; photo ID; photos but no video.

  • No cloakroom, audio guide or whisper service on Friday evenings.
  • No backpacks, rucksacks or suitcases of any size, and no large umbrellas; a small one that fits in a pocket or handbag is fine. People turning up with them are not admitted and are not refunded.
  • Photo ID matching the name on the ticket.
  • Photos for personal use only, no video.
  • If the lifting platform is out of order, wheelchair users' tickets are refunded.

Can a guide talk during the Friday evening walk?

Yes, a little: the Friday rules let tour guides speak after the staff's safety briefing, quietly and with whisper devices.

That is the one time the rules spell out that a guide may give commentary inside. The museum itself provides no whisper service on Fridays, and the tours on this site are daytime Uffizi tours. If you want the corridor explained, read its history before you go.

Will there be Friday evenings in 2027?

Nothing has been announced. The 2026 series ends on 20 November.

In 2025 the evening series ran from 4 July to 26 December, so the museum has repeated the idea, but dates and prices for 2027 are not out. Until they are, plan on the daytime ticket for any visit after 20 November 2026, Tuesday to Sunday.
