Vasari Corridor tickets: prices and how to book

One ticket opens two doors: the Uffizi first, then the Medici passage over the Ponte Vecchio to the Boboli Gardens. Book it right and the whole morning falls into place.

The Vasari Corridor reopened on 21 December 2024 after eight years of safety work, and by day you cannot buy it on its own. The museum sells one combined ticket, the Uffizi with the Vasari Corridor supplement, and the time printed on it is your corridor time.

This guide covers what it costs, how to book it on the official shop step by step, how the timing works, the free and reduced options, and what to do when the dates you want are gone.

The quick answer

The official ticket is the Uffizi + Vasari Corridor ticket: €47 if you book before the day, €43 on the day, €2 reduced and free for eligible visitors. Buy it on tickets.uffizi.it, by phone or at the ticket offices; it is named, non-refundable and limited to five per purchase. The corridor itself adds €18 to an advance Uffizi ticket. On Friday evenings until 20 November 2026 there is also a corridor-only ticket at €24.

What the ticket buys: about a kilometre of plain passage with windows over the Arno.

How much does a Vasari Corridor ticket cost?

€47 booked before the day or €43 on the day, and that price already includes the Uffizi Gallery.

The museum's price list, read in October 2026:

TicketPrice
Uffizi + Vasari Corridor, booked before the day€47
Uffizi + Vasari Corridor, bought on the day€43
Reduced (eligible categories; operators say EU citizens aged 18 to 25)€2
Free (eligible categories; operators say under 18)€0
Uffizi only, before the day or on the day€29 or €25
Corridor supplement for an existing Uffizi ticket or annual pass€20
5-day PassePartout (Uffizi, Pitti, Boboli), with the corridor€58
Friday evening, corridor only, before the day or on the day€24 or €20

Can you buy a ticket for the corridor only?

Not by day. In daytime the corridor is sold only as a supplement to the Uffizi; the one corridor-only ticket is the Friday evening opening.

Compare the two Uffizi prices and the corridor adds €18 to an advance ticket (€47 against €29). If you have already seen the gallery, or do not want to, the cheapest way in is a Friday evening at €24, every Friday until 20 November 2026; see the Friday evening guide. The €4 gap between the advance and on-the-day prices is the museum's standard booking surcharge.

How do you book the official ticket, step by step?

On tickets.uffizi.it: choose the Uffizi + Vasari Corridor ticket, pick a date and a corridor time, enter each visitor's name, then pay.

  • Go to the official shop, tickets.uffizi.it, not a search ad.
  • Pick the Uffizi + Vasari Corridor ticket and the date.
  • Choose the time slot. It is the corridor time; you may enter the Uffizi two hours earlier.
  • Enter a name for every visitor, exactly as on the photo ID they will bring. Children under 6 need a reservation too.
  • Pay and keep the e-mail. The ticket carries a link to a map of the route to the meeting point.

No more than five tickets go through per transaction, even for different dates. You can also book through the call centre on +39 055 0354135 (toll-free in Italy 800 615 615), every day from 8 am to 7 pm, or at the museum ticket offices.

What does the time on the ticket mean?

It is your corridor time. The ticket lets you into the Uffizi two hours before it, so you see the gallery first and then walk to the meeting point.

The meeting point is Room D19, the Venetian small chapel (Cappellina Veneziana) on the first floor of the Uffizi. The museum says it takes about 45 minutes to walk there from the gallery entrance. Be there five minutes before your slot: groups leave on time, and a late arrival loses the right to enter. How to spend those two hours is in planning the Uffizi and the corridor.

I already have an Uffizi ticket. Can I add the corridor?

Yes, for €20. The corridor slot must be at least two hours after your Uffizi time, or you sign a form accepting less time in the gallery.

In any case the corridor slot has to be at least 30 minutes after the Uffizi entry. The same €20 supplement applies to annual pass holders (€80 for one person, €120 for a family), and it is €2 for holders of individual reduced Uffizi tickets. For most first-time visitors the combined €47 ticket is simpler and cheaper.

Is the Vasari Corridor ever free?

On the free first Sunday of the month it costs nothing extra, but only for visitors who reserved online, while slots last.

Those Sundays are the most contested slots of the month, so do not plan a trip around one. Visitors in the free categories pay nothing on any day, and the reduced ticket is €2, but everybody needs a reservation, including children under 6, disabled visitors and their carers. Free openings that fall on a Monday do not include the corridor.

What if official Vasari Corridor tickets are sold out?

Try the ticket offices on the spot, check back online as slots are released, take a Friday evening, or book a reseller ticket or a tour that holds slots.

The museum releases Uffizi tickets gradually, and its ticket offices stay open even when online sales show sold out. If that fails, the reserved Uffizi and corridor ticket ($93, free cancellation up to 24 hours before) gives you the same entry without a guide; you exchange a voucher for the named tickets at a meeting point. The ticket with an audio app ($89) is non-refundable and rated 3.9 from 286 reviews. Guided options are compared in Vasari Corridor tours.

What are the rules on the day?

Bring photo ID that matches the ticket, leave backpacks and suitcases at the hotel, and expect a one-way walk that ends outside the Uffizi.

  • Photo ID with the name on the ticket; tickets are personal and non-transferable.
  • No backpacks, rucksacks or suitcases of any size, and no large umbrellas. People who arrive with them are not admitted or refunded.
  • Photos yes, video no, and no professional equipment.
  • One way only: you come out by the Buontalenti Grotto in the Boboli Gardens and cannot go back into the Uffizi.
  • Boboli and Pitti are not included. To stay, you need a separate ticket for them.
