The Vasari Corridor on Friday evenings, 2026

The Vasari Corridor windows over the Arno in the evening
Every Friday from 3 July to 20 November 2026, the corridor opens from 7 pm to 11 pm on its own corridor-only ticket. You meet at the entrance in Piazzale degli Uffizi next to the Loggia dei Lanzi, walk the corridor in about 35 minutes, and come out of Boboli through the Rondò di Bacco gate into Piazza Pitti. You pass through Uffizi rooms but cannot visit the gallery. As of 5 October 2026 seven Fridays are left, and nothing has been announced for 2027.

The Fridays that are left

As of 5 October 2026: 9, 16, 23 and 30 October, and 6, 13 and 20 November. The last one is 20 November. In 2025 the series ran from 4 July to 26 December, so you may read December dates elsewhere; they belong to last year. Nothing has been announced for 2027, and I will not guess.

Groups start at 7.00, 7.20, 7.40, 8.00, 8.20, 8.40, 9.00, 9.20 and 9.50 pm.

The ticket

It is called “Vasari Corridor - Special Openings” and it costs €24 bought before the day or €20 on the day, €2 reduced, and free for those eligible. The same five-ticket cap per purchase applies. It is sold through the museum’s shop, and the details are on the Uffizi’s Friday evening page.

Compare it with the day. The day ticket is €47 and includes the Uffizi; the corridor alone costs €24 on a Friday. If you have seen the gallery already, or you are not in Florence for the paintings, this is the cheapest way to walk the corridor, and I would book it over a day slot. If you want the Uffizi too, the day ticket is better value than the two separately. Booking the day ticket is on how to book the official ticket.

Where you meet, and where you come out

The meeting point is the entrance in Piazzale degli Uffizi next to the Loggia dei Lanzi, which is easier than the daytime route: no 45-minute walk through the gallery to Room D19. Be there ten minutes before your time. At the other end you leave Boboli straight into Piazza Pitti through the Rondò di Bacco gate, which is a different exit from the day route. The two are compared on where the corridor ends.

What is different at night

Friday evenings allow

  • The corridor itself, at a slightly quicker pace: about 35 minutes
  • Commentary from a tour guide, quietly, after the staff safety briefing, using whisper devices
  • Photos for personal use

Friday evenings do not have

  • A visit to the Uffizi gallery
  • A cloakroom
  • An audio-guide or a whisper service
  • Backpacks, rucksacks, suitcases and large umbrellas

The missing cloakroom matters most. The bag ban still applies, and people who arrive with a backpack are not admitted and not refunded. Come with a pocket, a handbag at most. The rest of the list is on what to bring.

I have walked it on a Friday and on a day ticket. By day the windows give you the river and the hills; after dark they give you the lit city and the bridge below. I would not rank one above the other, but the Friday ticket costs about half as much.

If you would rather see the paintings

The Friday ticket is corridor only. If what you want is someone to explain the Uffizi, that is a daytime job, and it is the one thing a tour does well. The options are on guided tours; mind the two listings whose from-price leaves the corridor out.

Daytime Uffizi with a guide: check dates
Four of the six options listed here cancel free up to 24 hours ahead; the ticket-and-app option and the escorted tour are non-refundable. Official Uffizi tickets are named and cannot be refunded either.
