Why it was closed, and what reopened

The corridor closed in 2016 to bring it up to safety standards. Works began in 2022, and it reopened on 21 December 2024 with ramps and lifts, new emergency exits and air conditioning. It follows the Uffizi’s closing days, which is why Mondays are out.

Open does not mean walk-in

Every visitor needs a reservation, and the day ticket is the Uffizi + Vasari Corridor ticket, which lets you into the gallery two hours before your corridor slot. Slots are released gradually and sell out, so book as soon as your dates are fixed; the steps are on how to book the official ticket.

The Friday evening series runs every Friday from 3 July to 20 November 2026, last group at 9.50 pm, on a corridor-only ticket. Nothing has been announced for 2027. The remaining dates are on Friday evening openings.
